Following his high-profile arrest in Romania on December 30, 2022, controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate has sparked a massive online response.
Tam Khan, a YouTuber and former MMA fighter based in Dubai, is said to have offered Tate support after he was detained for rape and human trafficking.
On Saturday, Khan put out a video in which he says that the controversial kickboxer is innocent. The YouTuber explained in a video titled "The Arrest of Andrew & Tristan – Tam Khan’s Message" why he believes Tate, his friend of over 15 years, is innocent and allegedly being "set-up."
Khan, otherwise called TK Talks, said toward the beginning of the video, "Priorities straight, I might want to offer my duas and supplications to sibling Andrew. As Muslims, that is our obligation."
Khan claimed to have spent a lot of time behind the scenes with Tate over the past 15 years, calling him one of the "nicest and most loving guys."
He emphasized that he would not accept the allegations as true unless he was shown video of Tate committing the alleged crime.
Khan wrote, "He is a brother to me and I KNOW he is innocent" in another tweet. No matter what they try or say."
That's fine if you detest him. You are entitled to this. However, don't permit them to set an individual up for a wrongdoing since he is blunt," he added.
Following Tate's arrest on Friday for alleged charges of human trafficking and forming a criminal group, a Romanian court ordered his 30-day detention.
