In the event that you've been on TikTok of late, you could have been served a video notice highlighting Joe Rogan and one of his visitors on his hugely famous web recording, The Joe Rogan Experience. In the clip, Rogan brags about a supplement called Alpha Grind that is a "libido booster for men." He even tells listeners exactly what to type in to find the product on Amazon.
Rogan is one of the most well known podcasters out there, with more than ten million audience members for every episode of his show. That kind of brand endorsement would be a big deal and probably very expensive for any product. On his show, Joe Rogan, however, did not endorse Alpha Grind. The video in the TikTok video ad is probably a deepfake made by artificial intelligence with the intention of making it appear as though Rogan endorses the product to increase sales.
